Our
fabulous Twirly Skirt is copied from a gorgeous handmade 1940's skirt.
We've
made this skirt for years - but this is our redesigned model... our
customers said they loved the design, but didn't want it to come up
far enough to show their panties (who can blame them?) - so we changed
it to be just as twirly, but a bit more modest because it flares out
low on the thighs. If
you hold up the edges it looks like bat wings - this is not a circle
skirt. There's much more fabric in this beauty. The
photo above right is to show that when you're not spinning, the Twirly
Skirt looks just like any other. You will feel incredibly feminine in
this. It is an absolutely wonderful skirt for dance teams - quite show
but still very classy. The edges scallop (they go ruffle, ruffle,
ruffle) as you spin. Because the waistband is elastic, you can
wear it high- or low-waisted. The bottom hem should hang (on most) at
or above the knee. Fabric is heavy enough to swish nicely when you
stop for a break. Yes!
THEY'RE MACHINE WASHABLE!The
skirts are unlined and the material is stretchy. Photo at right is

right is the "silhouette" of these (made by tracing a
photograph of the pants laid out on the floor) to show you the
relationship between the rise (the length from the waist to the
crotch) and the inseam. They are meant to be worn quite baggy in the
crotch - so the inseam will probably not match that of your existing
dress pants.
MEASUREMENTS:
These
are made to be worn at or a bit below your waist. (We don't give the
inseam measurement because these are long rise pants and you won't
wear the same inseam as your jeans!)

"M" length has a 14" rise (the length from waistband
to crotch) and the entire length is approx. 44-45" (measure the
entire length of a pair of your own dress pants if you're not sure
these will fit)

We've tried these on several dozen dancers and they overwhelmingly
found that these run about true to size (if you are a half size you
will most likely go up to the next size - 6.5 wears a 7, 7.5 wears

almost never fit too tight on wide feet. Just loosen the laces.
